Hi, I'm Tre!
I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, and currently live in Hanna City with my lovely wife McKenzie and our two boys—Levi and Owen. There is rarely a quiet moment in the Cooper household, whether it's me plucking away at something on the piano or our toddler Levi pretending anything he can find is a drum.
I'm a lifelong lover of music and hope that I can help meet all of your musical needs.
More About Me
Music has been a defining force in my life, shaping my experiences and fueling my passion for teaching. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Dr. Rachel Joselson, I proudly returned to my home church as a full-time worship pastor, combining my musical expertise with a deep commitment to nurturing talent.
With over 20 years of piano experience and more than a decade of guitar playing, I have had the joy of guiding over 50 aspiring musicians of all ages and backgrounds since I began teaching in 2012. My training at the University of Iowa enriched my skills across various genres—including classical, musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary pop—ensuring that my students receive a well-rounded musical education. Under the mentorship of Dr. Katherine Eberle, I completed graduate-level coursework in private lesson instruction, which laid a solid foundation for my teaching practices.
Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s Degree in Voice Pedagogy through the Voice Study Centre, focusing on contemporary singing techniques to bring cutting-edge methods to my students. I actively engage in music projects including: writing original songs, performing, charting, and arranging.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and tending to my garden.
